TVsDepot complaint by Ludwig
As many before me, placed an order and then received an e-mail to call the store. I did, and I was asked or pushed into buying an extra battery for $30. I received the invoice for $154.99, but the credit card came to $194.99. Received the camera but not the extra battery. When I called to dispute the $40 overcharge and no battery, I was told that the camera does not come with a battery, then I called again, and a sales person started calling me names, "you are very troubled person". It is my very first problem with the on-line shopping. I guess I was lucky so far.

Please, please, please do not ever buy anything from TV's Depot, they are cheap but you'll pay dearly for that.

Good Luck

This is a deceptive company. I purchased a brand new Canon Powershot SD950 IS camera from them online. They either took out or left out the warranty card and refuse to send it, replaced the brand new battery with a cheap battery (no mention of that whatsoever) and then try to sell you the battery that was sent by the manufacturer for $20 more than the manufacturer sells it for seperately, and leave out the battery cover. This is classic bait and switch and it's a real shame that companies like this exist. For all I know it is a refurbished camera and was sold as new. When I ask to return it on the day I received it by mail, they told me there would be a 15% restocking fee. How fair is it when a company is deceptive and then due to their deception you have to pay a restocking fee because it wasn't what you thought it was? They also didn't include the memory card or the battery cover. They use very high pressure sales tactics as well.
