TVsDepot complaint by PissedPK
July 2. 2008 I ordered a Canon Xsi kit with lenses etc for 699 $. See http://www.tvsdepot.com/product.php?id=172250.

First I receive a email 12:25 AM that ask me to call to confirm order. "Thank you for your order. In order to promptly process your order, please call me sam at, 800-337-0740 Ext. 2051. to confirm your order information, in order to ensure prompt delivery of your order."

They try to sell me a battery since the one in the kit only lasts 15 minutes. I say no thanks.

Again at 12:36 AM I receive email no 2: "Thank you for your order. In order to promptly process your order, please call me sam at, 800-337-0740 Ext. 2051. to confirm your order information, in order to ensure prompt delivery of your order."

The day after at 10:21 AM email no 3 arrives with the same request for confirmation. "Thank you for your order. In order to promptly process your order, please call me joegrant at, 800-337-0740 Ext. 2030. to confirm your order information, in order to ensure prompt delivery of your order."

I call again and this time the seller informs me that "The lens I ordered was the 'plastic' one and was out of stock, but he had a one in 'glas' available for 100$ add on". I said no thanks. Then he could not help me and I was forced to cancel the order since tvsdepot suddenly was out of stock.

tvsdepot gives internet shopping a very bad reputation. They put offers out on web that they don't deliver and use it as bait to attract me to buy accerioes to a high price.

This looks like a scam and a fraud to me and I will cancel my credit card I used! tvsdepot is not to be trusted!
